What are things we do in spring? That's what we learned about this past week. The first week of May, we learned about our senses and shared our April family month projects.
We had a blast at the dinosaur museum and it turned out to be a great success! I'm going to let the words speak for themselves.
These are some highlights of random class activities that we did throughout the month of April. It was fun to learn and explore new things!
In April, as part of our field trip to Thanksgiving Point, we learned about dinosaurs. Here are some pictures of your week's adventures (minus the field trip - that'll be in a separate blog post). We went on a dinosaur egg hunt outside - full of 3 marshmallow "eggs" each.
Last week, we learned about everything forest including forest animals and plants! The students loved going on a bear hunt and we did this almost daily. It was fun!
Timpanogas Animal Hospital was also able to visit and did a fantastic job explaining what she does and brought A LOT of hands on activities for the students to do and things to try on and explore.
Five firefighters and EMTs came to class to show us their outfits, fire truck, and ambulance.
Our school cooks came to our classroom and together we made ants on the log with celery, raisins, and peanut butter or spray cheese. Students were able to wear their aprons and cooking gloves.
We had a Pleasant Grove police officer visit our classroom and we were able to sit inside of his cop truck and see the lights turn on.
